Why she might be annoying:

She was nicknamed 'The Flying Dutchwoman' but many called her Francina.
She is shy.
She was criticized for not being a good mother, by participating in the 1948 Olympics.
After winning two gold medals, she decided she wanted to go home and be with her sons.
Her husband convinced her to stay at the Olympics or she would end up regretting it.

Why she might not be annoying:

She was the first woman to win four gold medals at a single Olympics (1948).
She participated in the 1936 Olympics but the next two olympics were cancelled so she did not get another shot until 1948.
IOC rules of the time prevented Olympians from participating in more than three individual events. She therefore was unable to participate in other events that should have won her more gold.
She was given a bicycle by Dutch fans as a gift for winning her gold medals.
She was selected #26 by Sports Illustrated for Women's Century's Greatest Sportswomen.
