Why he might be annoying
Prior to landing a stable stint with the North Stars, he played on five different minor league teams.
He recorded 140+ penalty minutes in a season on two occasions.
Many hockey pundits fail to acknowledge that he is the first player of African ancestry to be appointed captain of an NHL team.
He was injury prone throughout the course of his career.
He was fired by the Blackhawks as the team's head coach after 59 games (1999).
Why he might not be annoying
He excelled in the defensive aspect of the game.
He captained the Hawks to the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals.
He was a fan favorite in Chicago.
He doesn't mind the fact he received far less attention then Jarome Iginla as hockey's first black captain.
He holds the Stanley Cup Finals record for fastest goals recorded in a single period (3 in 1992).
