Why he might be annoying:

    His name sounds extremely generic.
    He sports Jesus-like long hair.
    He is twice divorced.
Some movie fans were upset that he won his third Oscar in 2012 over Emmanuel Lubezki who was nominated for 'The Tree of Life'
He originally shot most of 'World War Z,' but due to the film's troubled production and his other commitment to Quentin Tarantino's 'The Hateful Eight,' he was replaced by Ben Seresin.

Why he might not be annoying:

One of his earliest jobs was serving as a second unit photographer on Wes Craven's 'A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).'
He also was a cinematographer on several PBS documentaries in the 1980s.
One of his trademarks is one strong key light facing straight down to create a pool of light or a bounce light off of a performer.
He is a favorite cinematographer for esteemed directors such as Tarantino, Oliver Stone, and Martin Scorsese.
He said, 'It's important not to confuse visual clichés with artistic photography. If a choice had to be made, I would much rather shoot a good picture than a good-looking picture.'
