Recorded 'The Eagles,' 'Desperado,' 'On The Border,' 'One of These Nights,' 'Hotel California,' 'Greatest Hits: 1971-1975,' 'The Long Run,' 'Live,' 'Greatest Hits, Vol. 2,' 'Get Over It,' 'Hell Freezes Over,' 'The Very Best of the Eagles,' 'Please Come Home for Christmas,' '1972-1999 Selected Works' and 'Hole In The World'
Although all of them were established musicians, they hadn't formed as a band until after signing with Asylum Records (1971).
The 'Desperado' LP is a concept album about Midwest outlaws.
They ended a great working relationship with producer Glyn Johns after they decided that they wanted to go for a harder sound and he suggested that they shouldn't.
Bernie left the band in the middle of a tour.
They released their first greatest hits album 4 years after forming.
It took them over a year and a half to record 'The Long Run.'
Many people are confused as to what the song 'Hotel California' is about, saying it's about Anton Szandor LaVey's home in Los Angeles, but it's actually a metaphor for the music industry and its effect on its musicians.
Their latest record, 'Hole In The World,' hasn't gotten good reviews.
Glenn and Don were part of Linda Ronstadt's backup band before forming the Eagles.
Their debut album went gold and had two top ten songs.
They all shared lead vocal duties.
Although not releasing the song 'Desperado' as a single in 1973, the song went on to become one of their most popular.
Their album 'One of These Nights' featured three Top 5 singles.
The song 'I Can't Tell You Why' has been referred to by some as the best romantic song ever.
Although only featuring 4 years worth of material, 'Greatest Hits 1971-1975' has sold well-over 25 million units, which has been certified by the R.I.A.A. as the best selling album of all-time after eclipsing Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' in 1999.
After the September 11th terrorist attacks, Don Henley's song 'New York Minute,' was closely identified with the tragedy.
They are the only band to have three different albums become certified Diamond, which is 10 million units sold ('Greatest Hits 1971-1975,' 'Hotel California' and 'Greatest Hits Vol. II').
