Why he might be annoying:

He is injury prone.
He only had 2 seasons in which he played in every game.
His 5'10, 180 pound frame is regarded as 'small' by NHL standards.

He joined the Canadiens in his first season as a pro away from Finland.

Not only did he recover from the cancer, but he returned to the game the very same season.
He captained the Finnish team to its first ever gold medal at the 1995 World Championships.
He at least 'tries' to speak French.
He is left handed.
He scored a goal in his NHL debut.
He scored 56 points in 50 games (1996-97).
He lead Finland's hockey team to an Olympic Bronze Medal (1998).
He has been referred to as 'the best Finnish hockey player ever.'
He founded the Saku Koivu Foundation which helps raise money for cancer research.
His favorite place to play away from Montreal is Miami.
His favorite TV show is 'Seinfeld.'
