The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He went by Dick, despite the fact his name was actually George Richard.
He was primarily used as a reserve during the early stages of his pro career.
He was left unprotected by the Redskins in the 1961 expansion draft, after he defied team orders and played on the offensive side of the ball.
While his draft record in Pittsburgh was stellar, his record with the Jets was average in contrast.
He got his son into the football business, despite the fact the latter had no experience in football and had attended college on golf scholarships.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the architect of the 'Steel Curtain' defense of the 1970's.
He got his start in player development in his last season as a player, when he did scouting duties during his time on the injury reserve list.
He was described as being one of the best talent evaluators in the 1970's and 1980's by football pundits.
Despite working long hours due to his job title, he was known to make time with his family, and going as far as taking them on scouting trips during the summer months.
He earned four Super Bowl rings with the Steelers.
