    A lot of people speculate his stats are only good because of how long he played, and that his seasonal performances weren't all that exceptional.
    He wasn't very fan friendly.
    He never led the league in home runs, and never hit 30 in a single season.
    He never won an MVP award.
    He spent his entire career with the Detroit Tigers.
    He is quite possibly the most popular athlete in Detroit history.
    He got 3007 career hits.
    He is in the baseball HOF.
    He continues to work in the Detroit Tiger organization.
    He was a great fielder and a great hitter.
    He was a 15 time all-star, ten time gold glove winner and won the Lou Gehrig award.
    He had his jersey retired by Detroit.
