Actor

The Resume

    (October 5, 2006- )
Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Won the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer for 'Room' (2015)
Acted in 'The Smurfs 2,' 'Extraterrestrial,' 'Gord's Brother,' 'Before I Wake,' 'Burn Your Maps,' and 'Shut In'

Why he might be annoying:

His last name sounds like 'trembling.'
His breakout role was doing voice-work for 'Smurfs 2.'
His eclectic - adorable - slew of award show appearances overshadows his acting abilities (he was dubbed 'King of the Awards Shows').
Chris Rock brought him and Abraham Attah apple boxes to stand on as Oscar award presenters as a gag.
He is already actively campaigning for a part in a Star Wars movie, preferably as a young Luke Skywalker (even wearing a pair of Darth Vader socks to the Oscars).
He stole the night on the red carpet at the 88th Academy Awards ceremony, in 2016, despite not having even been nominated that evening (many mistakenly thought he was).
He appeared younger in 'Before I Wake,' despite its being released after 'Rooms' ('Wake' had been filmed a year earlier but was shelved due to studio bankruptcy issues).

Why he might not be annoying:

His dad is a Vancouver police detective.
Brie Larson singled him out during her Best Actress Oscar acceptance speech.
He was one of the youngest Academy Award presenters in Oscars history, presenting the 'Best Live Action Short.'
He shared a National Board of Review Award for Breakthrough Performance with Abraham Attah (2016).
He was nominated for a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for 'Room' (2016).
He received the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for 'Room' (2016).
Johnny Depp is his favorite actor (he got the chance to work with him less than a year after meeting him at the 2015 Governor's Awards).
He's a huge Star Wars fan, naming his dog after Daisy Ridley's 'Rey' character and saying during his Critics Choice Award acceptance speech 'its going right next to my Millennium Falcon.'
He was more excited about meeting the BB-8, R2-D2 and C-3PO 'characters' at the Academy Awards than he was about attending the actual ceremony (his exuberance was the highlight of the evening).
