Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

His trade from the Padres to the Red Sox in late 2010 was seen as yet another move in the neverending arms race between the Red Sox and the New York Yankees.
The Padres decided to trade him due to the fact he would eventually demand money that they could not afford.
In 2006, he was tied for the National League lead in double plays grounded into.
He admits to being a 'man of faith.'

Why he might not be annoying:

In his career with the Padres, he put up good offensive numbers in spite of playing home games in a ballpark that favors pitchers.
He was Padre team MVP four times during his time with the Padres.
He had nothing but praise for the city of San Diego even after he was traded and still lives there during the offseason.
He comes from a baseball family, with his brother also having played for the Padres and his father having also played for the Mexican National Team.
He and his wife set up a foundation that helps disadvantaged youth in various areas.
