    Birth name is Sherwood Robert Magee
    Left fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies (1904-1914), Boston Braves (1915-1917) and the Cincinnati Reds (1917-1919)
    NL Batting Champion (1910)
    NL Runs Scored Champion (1910)
    NL RBI Champion (1907, 1910, 1914, 1918)
    NL Umpire (1928)
    Died of pneumonia at age 44

Why he might be annoying:

    He went by the nickname 'Sherry,' which is usually a female name.
    He was suspended for the rest of the 1911 season (later reduced to five weeks) for punching an umpire over a third strike (July 1911).
    He demanded a trade after the Phillies declined him for the player-managerial position.
    He injured his collarbone during spring training 1915, which caused him to have less power after his trade to the Braves.
    He retired from his playing career as a minor leaguer.

    He had a good 1910 season with major league career highs of 110 runs, 123 RBI and a .331 batting average.
    He had two seasons with over 100 runs (1905, 1910) and two seasons with over 100 RBI (1910, 1914).
    He finished his major league career after pinch hitting for the Reds team that won the 1919 World Series.
    He recorded 2,169 hits and 441 stolen bases (also stole home plate 23 times) in his major league career.
    He was considered one the most underrated players from the Deadball Era.
    He was inducted into the Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame (2003).
