The Resume

One of the Four Temperaments (black bile)
    Low expression, low response
    Weak response, strong impression
    Task-oriented introvert
Governed by the cold dry element of Earth
    DISC orientation is Conscientiousness

Why Temperament: Melancholic might be annoying:

If any temperament can hold a grudge for all eternity, it is this one.
They are prone to depression (not all of it exaggerated).
Hurt feelings are a greater issue to them than to the choleric.
They spare no one from the blame game — neither themselves nor anyone around them.
They are prone to retreat into their own little world.
Greed and gluttony are significant issues to them.
Unlike the choleric, they are not adept at manifesting themselves.

Why Temperament: Melancholic might not be annoying:

Their interaction style is ‘charting the course.’
    They are punctual.
Since they do their best work in small intimate circles, they do not like to be the center of attention (a sanguine specialty).
They do much better at accuracy-oriented tasks than those based in speed.
If their place is a mess, they usually know exactly what’s in most of the piles.
They do not have a high opinion of pranks.
They are the very definition of ‘True friendship is a plant of slow growth.’
