Why he might be annoying:

He originally didn't want to date Alyson Hannigan because of his personal rule against dating co-workers.
His eyebrows appear extremely large in some pictures, and then normal in others (what the hell is going on?).

Why he might not be annoying:

He's married to fellow Buffy-actor Alyson Hannigan.
His character of Wesley was a fan favorite, and many were heartbroken when he died.
His first appearance was in the George Harrison music video 'Got My Mind Set on You.' He just auditioned so he could meet George Harrison.
He had a very successful stage career, and performed Shakespeare opposite Ian McKellen
His British accent was so realistic, thanks to his years living in London.
Wesley was only supposed to be in a few Buffy episodes, but in the end he appeared in 9 Buffy episodes and 100 Angel episodes.
