He is the oldest of three hockey playing brothers, along with being the cousin of Ryan Miller.
He, along with Mike Ridley, were acquired by the Capitals in the Bob Carpenter trade, which ended up being beneficial to the Capitals in the long term.
He was one of the mainstays in the Capitals lineup during the 1990's.
He excelled as a checking forward for the Capitals.
