Why they might be annoying:

They have loud voices and honking Boston accents.
They laugh at their own jokes.
In fact, they often start laughing long before they even GET to the joke.
It’s hard to tell their voices apart.
They call themselves ‘the Tappet Brothers,’ even though their name is Magliozzi.
They make fun of Montana a lot.
They love bad puns.
When trying to get federal money for public broadcasting, Tom was quoted as saying: ‘George Bush is a [unprintable vulgarity].’

They give people informed advice about cars for free.
They both have degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Tom served in the U.S. Army.
Their show is extremely popular.
They make fun of themselves non-stop.
Ashley Judd once called in with a question.
They rail against people who talk on cell phones while driving.
Even people who don’t care about cars enjoy their goofy style.
