    He goes by his middle name, instead of his birth name of William.
    He struggled to find his footing as a starter in Detroit.
    His injury with the Lions occured out of spite, when one of his offensive tackles purposely missed a block which led to the injury.
    He lost his starting job with the Lions after three seasons to rookie Charlie Batch.
    He spent his final three seasons as a backup.
    He weighed 366 lbs in 2014, which led to him going on 'The Biggest Loser' to lose weight.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was an Eagle Scout.
    He was amongst a wave of left-handed starting quarterbacks during the 1990's.
    He was the Lions franchise record holder for passing yards and touchdown passes in a single season, prior to Matthew Stafford.
    He was the last player to wear #19 for the Ravens, prior to it being taken out of circulation in honor of Johnny Unitas.
    He served as the head coach of the high school football team at his alma mater, following his retirement from the NFL.
