Why he might be annoying:

He was cast in films due to his athletic ability and skill as a stunt man, not necessarily due to any ability in the field of acting.
His first real speaking part came in 'X-Men' in the part of Toad. Although his character Darth Maul briefly spoke in 'Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace,' his voice was dubbed over with that of another actor.
In his two major roles both characters have required him to wear heavy makeup so the average film goer has no idea what his real face looks like.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is left handed.
Holds a second degree black belt in Wushu and came in second place at the 1995 world championships.
During fighting scenes he always does a spin move. He did it in 'Episode I,' in 'X-Men,' and also 'Sleepy Hollow.'
He has portrayed two memorable villains.
