Why Nike might be annoying
There is some controversy over who bought the first pair of shoes from them, Phil Knight or Otis Davis.
Their 'Just do it' slogan was inspired by murderer Gary Gilmore's last words 'Let's do it.'
They line the pockets of already-wealthy athletes, while they produce their goods in sweatshops.
Children are also known to work in their sweatshops.
Why Nike might not be annoying
'Just do it' and the Swoosh logo are some of the most recognized trademarks in the world.
They are named after the Greek goddess of victory.
