Why they might be annoying
They only recorded three winning seasons between the years of 1943 and 1949.
They haven't lived up to expectations since Bill Cowher became their head coach.
They made a big deal about having Kordell Stewart as someone who could be their starting wide receiver and their starting quarterback even though he led them nowhere.
Although having had many future-Hall of Famers play for them, they've only retired one number, Ernie Strautner's #70.
Why they might not be annoying
Hall of Famer Bill Dudley led the NFL in rushing yards, interceptions and punt returns (1949), making him the only player to ever do that.
They won six consecutive AFC Central Division Championships (1972-77).
They were the first NFL team to win 4 Super Bowl's.
Former head coach Chuck Noll, who spent his entire head coaching career with them, ranked 4th on all time career victories when he retired in 1991.
Traditionally, they have a great defense.
They're considered by many as the greatest AFC franchise.
They have great rivalries with the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.
They ended New England Patriots consecutive win streak at 21 (October 31, 2004).
They won Super Bowl XL by defeating the top three AFC seeds on the road and then beating the best NFC team (2006).
