Acted in 'Richard III (1955),' 'Dracula (1958),' 'The Phantom of the Opera (1962),' 'Julius Caesar (1970),' 'Nostradamus (1994)' and 'Sleepy Hollow (1999)'
Made appearances on 'Doctor Who' and 'The Avengers'

Why he might be annoying:

Despite over 50 years in the industry, he is really only known as Alfred in the 'Batman' films.
He is divorced.
Many mispronounce his last name (pronounced 'Goff').
He was mistakenly believed to have died in 1979 or 1987.
For a period of time, it appeared that he was typecast in horror film roles.
He was once dubbed the poor man's Vincent Price.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was going to be a farmer, but changed his mind to fulfill a dream of acting.
He earned a distinguished career on Broadway before moving to film.
He has no problem playing the villain.
He is popular with Batman fans.
