Why he might be annoying:

He came to the US in hopes of earning a college scholarship only to discover that his brief professional soccer career kept him from playing college football under NCAA rules.
For his first pro game, his teammates had to help him put his uniform on.
He committed one of the most famous errors in Super Bowl history: after his field goal attempt was blocked, he picked up the ball and tried to pass it. The ball was intercepted by the Washington Redskins, who scored a touchdown (Super Bowl VII, January 14, 1973)
The next day, Dolphins coach Don Shula told him, 'If you ever try that again, I'll kill you.'

Why he might not be annoying:

His rookie year, he set a record by kicking six field goals in a single game.
He was named MVP of the 1974 Pro Bowl after kicking five field goals for the AFC.
He led the NFL in field goal accuracy for three seasons.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame named him Kicker of the Decade for the 1970s.
