Why he might be annoying:

He got famous by following around brilliant directors and sucking up to them.
He had sex with many of his leading ladies, including Cybill Shepherd and the Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten.
When Stratten was murdered, he put a pretentious Hemingway quote on her tombstone.
He then married her sister.
Rumor has it he forced the sister to have plastic surgery to look more like Dorothy.
Following his initial success, he produced one box-office bomb after another for many years.
He wore $300 shoes in public days before declaring bankruptcy.
He is a vegetarian.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is one of the few movie critics to become a director.
He turned down the chance to direct 'The Godfather.'
He said: 'Working with Cher was like being in a blender with an alligator.'
He is reportedly a pleasant person.
Despite his washed-up status, he never gives up.
