Why she might be annoying:

She was allegedly hatched from an egg (since Zeus had seduced her mother while disguised as a swan).
In some version of the tale (such as Sappho's), she abandoned her husband and nine-year-old daughter to go with Paris willingly.
According to Virgil's Aeneid, when the Trojan horse was brought into the city, she used a torch to signal to the Greeks.
After Paris' death, she married his brother, but hid his sword when the Greeks started sacking Troy, leaving him to be slaughtered.

Why she might not be annoying:

According to other versions of the tale, she was forcibly abducted by Paris.
When she was ten, Theseus kidnapped her to become his wife, so when Paris showed up, she may have figured abduction was standard operating procedure for finding a spouse.
When Menelaus tried to slay her for infidelity, she dropped her robe from her shoulders and her beauty caused him to drop his sword.
She was described in Marlowe's 'Dr. Faustus' as 'the face that launched a thousand ships.'
