Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He never played a game in the major leagues.
He is best remembered for his mismanagement of the Red Sox during the 1986 World Series.
He elected to start Bruce Hurst on three days rest in Game 7, rather than the rested Oil Can Boyd, in a move that eventually cost the Red Sox a chance at winning the World Series.
He was responsible for not pulling Bill Buckner in the 10th inning of Game 6.
He was fired at midseason four times.

Why he might not be annoying:

He guided the Reds to the majors best record in 1981, but was denied a playoff berth due to the baseball strike that caused the season to be split in halves.
He guided the Red Sox to what would be considered one of the best ALCS finishes during the 1980's.
After being called out by his former players over his decisions in the World Series, he broke his silence explaining his decisions were justified.
He openly admitted his decision not to use Oil Can Boyd in Game 7 was a result of Boyd being too drunk to pitch.
