Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

In Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS, he gave up a ninth inning home run to Yadier Molina, costing the Mets the National League pennant.
He posted a 5.21 ERA in 78 appearances in 2008, as his bullpen work contributed to the Mets' 2008 collapse.
After fizzling out with the Mets, he was traded to the Seattle Mariners, then traded to the Chicago Cubs without playing a single game in Seattle, where he also underperformed, although not as badly as he did in his latter days with the Mets.
Despite vouching to become a starting pitcher like he was at one point, he wasn't given the opportunity.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was an effective set-up reliever for much of the time during the Mets 2006 season.
On April 15, 2005, he pitched a one-hit shutout for the Mets.
He majored in psychology and management systems at Notre Dame.
While playing in high school in Logansport, Indiana, he was voted as his team's MVP and was selected as an All-State player.
