Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

Prior to his Major League debut, he was drafted twice: Philadelphia Phillies (11th round, 1992) and the New York Yankees (45th round, 1995).
He was a journeyman player at the beginning of his career.
He missed much of the 2006 season due to an injury.
Whenever someone asks him about his beard, he says he is too lazy to shave it.
Consequently, people mistake him for actor Gerard Butler.
In 2004, he had an AL-low .939 fielding percentage at third base and led the majors at that position with 26 errors.
He loves to go duck hunting.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a good clutch player.
He hit two walk-off homers, ending the rival Detroit Tigers' chances of clinching a division title in 2007.
He set a new record for a Dodger third baseman with a .280 average and 18 home runs in a single season (2009).
He was part of a revitalized Dodgers team that appeared in their first NL Championship Series since 1988.
As of 2010, he is one of the top 500 MLB career home run leaders.
