Baseball Player

The Resume

    (October 23, 1975- )
Shortstop for the Seibu Lions (1995-2003), New York Mets (2004-2006) and Colorado Rockies (2006- )

Why he might be annoying:

    He's flamboyant and cocky.
He refuses to change his position on the Mets so that Jose Reyes could stay at shortstop.
    He strikes out a lot.
His stolen base numbers have dropped recently.
He is no relation to Yankees outfielder Hideki Matsui.
Due to his lack of patience at the plate, he's not a prototypical leadoff hitter.
At his Mets press conference, he said 'My name is Kaz Matsui, I love New York!'
He prefers the nickname 'Kaz' over 'Little Matsui.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He won the Pacific League MVP in 1998.
Scouts say he's even faster on the base paths then Mariners star Ichiro Suzuki.
He hit more then 30 home runs the last 2 years.
He's hit .300 or higher in each of his last 7 seasons.
He's a great fielder, winning the Japanese equivalent of the golden glove many times.
