He was a one-year wonder.
He failed to replicate the same degree of success he had in the 1997 playoffs.
His career was plagued by chronic shoulder problems.
As a result of his shoulder problems, his fastball velocity tailed off considerably.
He posted a career worst 15.71 earned run average during his final season with Cleveland.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the son of former major league pitcher Clyde Wright.
He went 8-3, emerging as Cleveland's ace down the stretch and during the playoff run.
He pitched 6⅓ solid innings in Game 7 of the 1997 World Series, accomplishing it on three days rest.
Some Cleveland fans think the Indians may have won the 1997 World Series, had he not been pulled in Game 7.
He was the first rookie pitcher in a decade to start the seventh game of a World Series.
