Why he might be annoying:

His mom was pregnant with him while filming ‘The Music Man’ – which she was able to conceal until he kicked Robert Preston while Preston and Jones were embracing.
He said that before he was cast in ‘The Pirates of Penzance,’ he had no idea who Gilbert and Sullivan were: ‘As far as opera or classical music is concerned, I’m an ignoramus.’
He starred in the quickly cancelled TV adaptation of ‘Dirty Dancing.’
His first marriage, to Anja Stewart, lasted 22 days.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a football quarterback in high school until he broke his collarbone his senior year, when he took up acting.
He rejected record companies that approached him about marketing him as a teen idol like his siblings: ‘I wanted some credibility. And I thought if I started in the theater, I would get that.’
He and mother Shirley Jones appeared together in ‘42nd Street,’ making them the first mother-son combo to costar in a Broadway show (2004).
He noted about not reaching the same level of fame as his brothers, ‘I've managed to work at what I love to do, I have a family that I can support, thank God, and I've gotten to do a variety of roles in a variety of different avenues of the business.’
