Why he might be annoying
He has various tattoos.
His career ended unceremoniously after he was suspended for insubordination after he refused a minor league assignment.
He never played a full season during his career.
He had a locker room feud with Steve Moore, and made critical and disparaging comments about the latter in an interview eight years after the infamous attack by Todd Bertuzzi (July, 2012).
He earned more notoriety after he publicly went on the record and accused his former coach, Bob Hartley of bullying him (December, 2013).
Why he might not be annoying
He honed his skills playing roller hockey before moving to Alaska to play high school hockey on an ice surface.
He earned a Stanley Cup ring as a member of the Avalanche (2001).
He was originally a third round draft pick in 1996, but his improved style of play led to him being re-drafted in the first round in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
He wasn't afraid to stick up for his teammates.
After announcing his retirement from hockey, he opened a barber shop in his adopted home state of Colorado.
