On coming up with a stage name, he said, 'Bradford Dillman sounded like a distinguished, phony, theatrical name - so I kept it.'
He has one brown eye and one hazel-green eye.
He was poised to become a leading man when he started accepting schlock roles just for the paychecks and lost his credibility.
By the early 1990s he was not getting any film offers, saying he didn't retire but 'the profession retired me,' and turned to writing.
