    'The Baroque Cycle' is actually eight novels collected in three volumes.
    'In the Beginning Was the Command Line' is about the history of different operating systems.
    An early draft of Cryptonomicon was over one thousand pages long.
    None of his work has been filmed.
    He majored in Geography because it was the major that allowed him the most time on the school's mainframe computer.

    He coined the terms 'cyberpunk 'and 'spam.'
