Why he might be annoying:

He performed his first hit at age eighteen.
He felt nothing after killing the victim and noted,’ It was then that I realized I had a stomach for crime.’
He dismissed the deaths of children in car bombings by the cartel as collateral damage.
In addition to contract killings, he murdered the bouncer who refused to let him into a popular nightclub.
He further profited from his killings by writing two books about them.
When the relative of one of his victims refused to accept his apology, he called the relative ‘a bad man with an evil heart.’
He expected the relatives of his victims to forgive him, but admitted, ‘If anyone kills my son, I won’t forgive the murderer. I’ll find him and kill him.’
He said, ‘If Pablo Escobar were born again, I would join him without hesitation.’

Why he might not be annoying:

He cooperated with the government to secure the convictions of other cartel members.
Other inmates tried to kill him seven times in prison.
After his release from prison, he apologized in person to the relatives of several of his victims.
He became an unlikely political activist, posting popular YouTube videos denouncing government corruption.
Two robbers stole his Cartier sunglasses, a mobile phone, and two gold bracelets (2016).
