The Resume

    (January 13, 1927-October 3, 1988)
Born in New York City, New York
Published the ‘National Enquirer’ and ‘Weekly World News’

Why he might be annoying:

His godfather was an actual godfather, mafia boss Frank Costello.
Costello reportedly loaned him the money to buy the Enquirer.
He spent little time with his children, devoting himself to the Enquirer.
He was a tyrannical boss who would fire anyone who failed to carry out an order to the letter.
He hosted lavish Hugh Hefner-style parties featuring scantily clad women and underworld figures at his Florida mansion.
He was a three pack a day chain smoker.

Why he might not be annoying:

He graduated from MIT at age 19.
After moving the company to Lantana, Florida, he gave generously to the local community.
Each year he erected the largest Christmas tree in the country outside corporate headquarters.
He died in one of the ambulances that he donated to the town.
Without the Weekly World News, we would never have found out about Bat Boy.
