While attending and playing basketball for Penn State, he was twice named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team.
He graduated Penn State a semester early in order to return to Finland for compulsory military service.
He was a fan of ‘Star Wars’ growing up and always wanted to play… Luke. (Presumably, he didn’t know he would grow to wookie heights.)
While in costume as Chewbacca, he carried candies in Chewie’s satchel, which he would give to kids on the set.
