The Resume

    (March 30, 1820-April 25, 1878)
    Author of ‘Black Beauty' (1877)

Why they might be annoying:

‘Black Beauty' was her only book, published five months before her death.
She never married and never had children, but lived with her parents.
Her family was Quaker (the Religious Society of Friends).
As a teenager, she injured both her ankles in a rainstorm on her way home from school.
Because the injury was not properly treated, it left her forevermore unable to stand, let alone walk, for lengthy time periods.
Wikipedia editors believe she died either from hepatitis or tuberculosis (phthisis), at age 58.

Why they might not be annoying:

She was an editor of the evangelical children's books written by her mother.
She drove her father (by carriage) to and from the station where he commuted to his work place.
Her wet weather injury gave her a deep respect for the welfare of fauna.
She had an excellent relationship with her brother and parents.
