Why he might be annoying:

    He shares his name with a TV presenter and a musician.
    He had one Top 10 finish in the PGA Championship but never won the tournament.
    He injured his left ring finger while on a dirtbike in an accident as it caused him to be out for a few years of play in the early 1990s.
    His problem with his tennis elbow caused him to miss out a year of play in 2004 and also a bit of 2003.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He holds the distinction of being the first golfer from the University of Colorado-Boulder to post four Top 10 Big Eight finishes.
    He got into playing in the U.S. Open after he read a Ben Hogan book.
    He won in two straight PGA Tour playoffs (1988-89).
    He avoided a bogey in the last hole to two-put for par to secure the 1996 U.S. Open victory as a sectional qualifier.
    He was able to perform a full golf swing after his surgeries on his tennis elbow in 2008 and 2009.
    He was a designer behind a hole based on his favorite golf elements as a member of The 27 Club in Tianjin, China.
