Why she might be annoying:

    She mothered a daughter out of wedlock.
    She was extremely private about her personal life.
    Many people were unaware of the fact she started the Fatburger chain until after her death.
    She went by the name Lovie, and refused to disclose the origin of her actual name.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She was considered a trailblazer in her time, as she was the first African-American female entrepreneur to operate a restaurant.
    She was one of the first restauranteurs to use fresh ground beef rather then frozen beef to make her hamburgers.
    She was considered a staple at the flagship Fatburger restaurant in Los Angeles, working there until her mid 70's.
    Her restaurant chain became a staple among African-American celebrities, many of whom purchased franchises in various regions of the United States.
    In response to Fatburger's popularity, she said 'I don't worry about McDonald's, Burger King or Wendy's, They may be more popular, but a good hamburger sells itself, and I don't think anybody makes as good a hamburger as we do.'
    She donated $1.7 million to sickle cell anemia research, after her grandson succumbed to the disease.
