When he made his WWF debut, he was billed as Motley Crue's former bodyguard, which was completely false.
He was a horrid actor, making his scenes hard to watch.
His wedding to Stephanie McMahon was heavily hyped and anticipated, but it never happened.
After his ‘wedding hype,' his career hadn't really gone anywhere.

Why he might not be annoying:

Bret Hart trained him.
Although the move is passé, his big boot was pretty impressive.
He was one of few wrestlers to have more than one finishing maneuver.
He got to make out with Stacey Keibler.
His angle with Stephanie McMahon got him a lot of attention and fanfare and their wedding was one of the highest-rated segments in the history of Raw.
