Why she might be annoying:

She added the first 'a' to her last name because she thought it looked more classy.
Although her 2nd & 3rd children, both boys were born in the United States, she moved back to England because she said they were turning into 'little Americans.'
She doesn't actually like coffee and much prefers decaf tea.
Her career has never advanced beyond the working actress stage and pales to the careers of both her husband, Trevor Eve and former coffee commercial co-star Anthony Head.
She obsesses over her blue collar Liverpool accent.
Ironically, although she comes from a working class background she almost always portrays an upper class, high society type.
She has never won a major award for her work.
She seems to have done almost no comedy.

Why she might not be annoying:

She grew up poor and gives her parents, especially her mother credit for driving her and her four brothers to improve themselves. All five are college graduates as are all of her three children.
She played Ophelia in Hamlet in her first paying job.
She's a great interview and was described by an interviewer as 'bubbly and effusive' and having 'a girlish enthusiasm for life and living.'
She went to a Catholic all-girls boarding school and refuses to do nudity due to her Catholic beliefs.
She put her career on hold repeatedly for her children.
She's proud of her coffee commercials.
She has kept her looks and then some.
As she has grown older, both the quality and quantity of her roles have improved dramatically.
She simply doesn't appear in crap and her involvement with a production is a virtual guarantee that it is a quality product.
