Murderer

The Resume

    (1933-May 16, 1975)
    Born in Trinidad and Tobago
Birth name was Michael de Freitas
    Also known as Abdul Malik
    Self-proclaimed black revolutionary
Founded the Racial Adjustment Action Society (1965)
Arrested for the murders of Joseph Skerritt and Gale Benson
Convicted of Skerritt's murder and executed by hanging

Why he might be annoying:

He was expelled from school at age 14.
He settled in London, where he sold drugs, pimped and ran gambling houses.
He advocated the immediate death of any white man 'laying hands' on a black woman.
He said, 'White men have no soul.'
He was the Mumia of his day, attracting celeb supporters like John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Dick Gregory and Kate Millet.
While out on bail (paid by John Lennon) for extortion and robbery charges, he fled to Trinidad and started a commune (1971).
After the commune burned down, police investigating the fire discovered the bodies of Skerritt and Benson (February, 1972).
He killed Skerritt for refusing to obey orders to attack a local police station.
He and his followers slashed Benson with machetes, then buried her alive.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was born to a Barbadan mother and Portuguese father.
His mother encouraged him to pass for white.
He helped organize the first outdoors Notting Hill Carnival (1967).
He showed his appreciation for John and Yoko's support by giving them a pair of Muhammad Ali's boxing trunks.
He was a character in the film 'The Bank Job' (2001), which claimed that he had indecent photos of Princess Margaret and avoided criminal prosecution by threatening to publish them. (A theory that is probably a myth, but who knows for sure?)
