    His natural position was unknown by scouts, due to the fact he was versatile during his high school career.
    He opted to forego his senior season at LSU to join the NFL.
    His tendency to miss tackles and lapses in coverage cost him votes in the Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.
    He was one of the first players to buy out his jersey inventory for the 2021 season, when he jumped on the opportunity to change his uniform number from #48 to #6 after the league's number regulations were relaxed.

    He persevered and earned a scholarship at LSU, which was his preferred college.
