Why he might be annoying:

Some basketball pundits felt his Rookie of the Year award was in part of being in a weak first round draft class.
He was traded midway through his second season to Milwaukee, in part of Philly's purging and tanking process.
He was born out of wedlock.
He struggled to adapt to Jason Kidd 's coaching style in Milwaukee.
Despite being considered a top-three draft pick, he fell out of the top ten and was selected ten spots below draft bust Anthony Bennett.

Why he might not be annoying:

Rather then ride the pines in his sophomore season, he worked on his game and conditioning to become a mainstay in Syracuse's rotation and elevate his draft stock in the process.
He was the first rookie since Mark Jackson, to win the Rookie of the Year Award, without being drafted with a top ten pick.
He was the first Sixers rookie since Allen Iverson to earn Rookie of the Year honors (2014).
He is bi-racial, as he was bron to an African-American father and a Caucasian mother.
