Why How I Met Your Mother might be annoying
Some believe the title is purposely ambiguous. Ted may be a friend or relative telling kids how he met THEIR mother rather than how he met his WIFE.
But, since the kids refer to him as dad, the ambiguity of the title is not really a factor.
It was revealed in the very first episode that Ted's on-again/off-again girlfriend Robin isn't their mother.
Many people still refer to Neil Patrick Harris, who portrays Barney, as his former role, Doogie Howser.
The series is not filmed in front of a live studio audience. The audience sounds are added from a live audience watching the taped show.
The series is filled with catch-phrases known as Barnyisms.
Why How I Met Your Mother might not be annoying
The series takes place in 2030 but is told as a flashback to the present.
In a campaign to launch the series, CBS gave out free DVDs of the premiere episode.
Bob Barker and Heidi Klum appeared as themselves.
It was believed that revealing Neil Patrick Harris is gay would make his role as a womanizer unbelievable, but it hasn't.
The supporting character of Barney is considered one of the best sidekicks in TV history.
