    He is considered one of Hollywood's greatest, and most prolific character actors.
    In the '30s and '40s he acted in many fine roles.
    He played Dracula three times.
    He was known as the 'Bard of the Boulevard' because he often recited Shakespeare in booming tones while strolling Hollywood streets.
    He was a descendant of Saint Pedro Carradegna, the patron saint of Barcelona.
    He had one of the most recognizable voices in film history.
    He appeared in over 500 films and related projects.
