Why he might be annoying
He was traded from the Leafs after the team thought his best days were behind him at age 23.
He was traded to the arch-rival Canadiens for oft-troubled forward John Kordic in what would become one of many blunders made by the Leafs during the Ballard Years.
His point production tailed off dramatically following a career high 80 point season.
He played on three different teams during the 1997 calendar year.
He sported a mullet during the course of his career.
Why he might not be annoying
He was viewed as being more of a complete player in contrast to his brother, Geoff.
He is married to African-American actress Paris Vaughan, which makes him the son-in-law of the late jazz singer Sarah Vaughan.
He played alongside Geoff following a trade to the Canucks.
Despite posting average numbers during the regular season, he saved his better performances for the playoffs.
He, along with his family, financed construction of the Archie Courtnall Centre in his hometown of Victoria, B.C., a centre devoted to people with mental illness.
