    His high school was a preparatory school for the priesthood, about which he noted, 'It was hard to study to be a priest during the day and plan gang warfare at night.'
    He sported some huge sideburns in the 70s.
    He was part of the original cast of Miami Vice as Lt. Lou Rodriguez, but he asked to be written out after just four episodes.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was raised by his aunt and grandmother.
    While serving in the Air Force, he joined a doo wop group that won a 'Tops in Blue' talent contest.
    He performed in the New York Shakespeare Festival.
