TV Personality

The Resume

Why she might be annoying:

As a substitute meteorologist at a San Diego station – her first position – she recalled being bitchy about camera placement.
Eager to go into acting, she had guest roles on the first seasons of Wonder Woman and Charlie’s Angels.
Not exactly heavyset in the first place, she had a brief but significant anorexic bout as Real People was starting.
During a segment of Home (ABC daytime, 1993), she was accidentally injected with the same influenza needle Gary Collins received.
At the wrong angle, she could loosely pass for a taller Jane Fonda.

Why she might not be annoying:

She attributed her ‘Protestant work ethic’ to being born to professional parents.
Her predecessor as hostess of Sun Up had zero issues with being replaced (and the subsequent severance pay).
When The Better Sex ended its run – less than a year later – she hadn’t yet turned 30.
Though they divorced due to ‘so intertwined’ careers, her first husband would go on to produce and direct several Real People segments.
While she never had children herself, she did wind up with a stepson (born the year of her divorce).
