The Resume

    (December 22, 1989- )
    Born in Lawrence, Kansas
Catcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates (2016-21) and the Miami Marlins
    Gold Glove winner (2021)
    Fielding Bible Award winner (2021)

Why he might be annoying:

He wears the ice hockey goalie mask as part of his catching gear.
He spent the early seasons of his career on dreadful Pirate teams.
He was rumoured during the 2021 off-season to be going to the Boston Red Sox in a trade; the proposed trade fell through and he wound up going to the Marlins instead.
He goes by the unoriginal nickname of 'Stalls.'
His bald head and scruffy appearance makes him look older then he actually is.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was considered the backbone of the Pirates, during the team's 'tank years.'
He wore #58 in Pittsburgh, which was considered royalty in the city, given who wore it with the city's football and ice hockey teams.
He, along with Ke'Bryan Hayes earned Gold Gloves for the Pirates, despite playing on a 100 loss team (2021).
He hit a walk-off grand slam, which helped the Pirates rally from a 6-0 deficit to win the game (July 18, 2021).
His trade to Miami angered the Pirates fanbase, due to the fact he was a fan favourite with the team.
