He was a journeyman player in the later stages of his career.
While with the Rockets, he reported to training camp overweight.
The Rockets were so desperate to get rid of him, they traded him to Utah for John Amaechi.
His productivity declined shortly after leaving the Knicks.
He named one of his children G’mitri.

He is one of a select handful of basketball players to win both NCAA & NBA championships during their career.
He was a clutch scorer in his prime.
During his tenure with the Heat, he scored a career high 56 points during a prime time game (1995).
He is the first Hornet to earn All-Star MVP honors (1997).
He was third in scoring behind both Michael Jordan and Karl Malone (1997).
