Why he might be annoying:

He traditionally celebrates his racing wins by climbing the fence that separates the racetrack from the grandstands.
His father smuggled him into racetracks at a young age, with the help of other race teams.
His 2002 win was controversial, because the IRL appeared to give him the win by throwing the caution flag just as he took the league on the last lap.
He helped bring the Burger King franchise to Brazil.

Why he might not be annoying:

His victory celebration was stolen by Tony Stewart.
He has one of the most vibrant personalities in open wheel racing.
He finished first, first, and second in his first three Indy 500 starts.
He had to change his the spelling of his last name several times because the United States media kept screwing it up.
